Web Site Policies, Copyright Guidelines

Loudoun County Chapter of the Mothers Against Drunk Driving, hereafter known as LCMADD, establishes these guidelines for the use of its web site and copying of material from its web site. Copyrighted material is protected under Title 17 of the United States Code of Federal Regulations (US CFR) and may not be copied except as noted herein. The entire site including all originally authored written and multimedia material is copyrighted by LCMADD.

  1. The LCMADD site is available to anyone who is looking for or is in need of information on the activities of the Loudoun County Chapter of MADD.

  6. Non-profit, Not for Profit, and for-profit organizations and companies may link to LCMADD to promote the following policy:

    The mission of Mothers Against Drunk Driving is to stop drunk driving, to support the victims of this violent crime, and to prevent underage drinking.

  7. All companies and organizations that link to this site must have similar missions and must provide LCMADD with their home page URL, their full company name and address, and their mission statement.
  8. The MADD logo used on the main page (/main.htm) is copyright MADD, Inc. and is used on this web site with permission.
  9. The LCMADD logo consisting of the Loudoun County Map and the words, "Loudoun County MADD", is copyright 2000 by LCMADD and may not be used without permission.
  10. Material from this website may be copied (except as noted) under the Internet Fair use Guidelines, but only for the purposes listed above.
  11. Remedy. LCMADD shall bring civil action and pursue criminal charges against any person or entity for the improper use of copyrighted material from this web site.
  12. Venue. Proceedings in any criminal action under Title 17 CFR shall be held in the US District Court, Alexandria, Virginia. Other proceedings at law or in equity shall be held in the Loudoun County Circuit Court, Leesburg, Virginia or as required by the case.
  13. LCMADD will not sell any names given to them and will not keep any databases on any web server or in any way provide links to any database.
  14. LCMADD maintains this web site to provide the public with timely information concerning the crime of Drunk Driving and Underage Drinking and does so under the guidelines and requirements of the National Organization.
  15. Links from this site to any for-profit company or organization are done so through a "buffer page" that indicates the purpose of the company and its relationship with LCMADD.
  16. Any misuse of this site should be reported to misuse@maddloudounva.org.
  17. Browser problems, broken links, missing graphics or other problems, should be reported to webmaster@maddloudounva.org.
  18. This web site is maintained by PC Designs of Loudoun County. PC Designs is a for-profit small business that offers free web site setup, service and support to LCMADD. As required by MADD, Inc. a link to PC Designs with buffer page is available on the LCMADD home page.
