The Kickoff's purpose is to launch and support Loudoun MADD's annual Tie One On For Safety and None For The Road campaign aimed at increasing public awareness and decreasing drinking and driving on our nation's highways.

Alcohol-related traffic deaths continue to rise and underage drinking levels are also on the rise again. MADD needs your help keeping our roadways safe during the upcoming holiday season.

In year 2003 Loudoun County had 246 alcohol related crashes, which resulted in 9 fatalities and 154 injured as a result of drunk driving.

In Virginia in year 2003, 364 people were killed as a result of drunk driving.

Nationwide in 2003 there were 17,013 people were killed as a result of drunk driving. Crashes, injuries and fatalities are on the rise.

These deaths and injuries are 100% preventable. Please consider becoming a volunteer member and making a difference.
